A tranquil spot on the river
Take it easy at this unique and tranquil riverside getaway: spectacular views and direct access to the Thames from the garden, with the option to potter off to neighbouring villages by boat (boat rental on request). The lawn runs right down to the water and looks out across the Berkshire countryside, while keeping its secluded privacy. A truly special spot in the beautiful hamlet of Cookham.
Inside: a wonderful five-bedroom house, with two super-kings, one king and two doubles (plus the option of two further singles). Three living areas, including a library that doubles as a games room.

Directions from the host
Riverside Retreat sits at the end of a long country lane. Turn into Gibraltar Lane, just past the viewing point at Winter Hill, and keep driving to the very end of the road. When you reach Wootons Boat Yard, bear left and keep going until you come to Riverside Retreat. Follow the path down the hill, where there’s parking for up to 4 or 5 cars.
